Cloud Platform

Your cloud, run by people who actually watch it ‍

Public, private, or hybrid, Microsoft or AWS, we design, migrate, and manage the environment that fits your business, then keep watching it after go-live.

Azure, AWS, and our own private cloud, matched to the workload instead of to whichever contract came up for renewal.

HOW IT WORKS

How does a cloud engagement with Netrix work?

In four stages, and you can join at any of them. Most clients come to us mid-migration, or years after one, when the bill stopped making sense.

  1. 01

    Assess

Find out what's actually running, what it costs, and what's quietly at risk. Nobody's inventory matches reality, and that's normal.

  2. 02

    Design

Decide what belongs in public cloud, what belongs in private, and what should stay where it is. Then design the identity, network, and security layers before anything moves.

  3. 03

    Migrate

Move in waves, with a rollback plan for each one. Modernize the workloads that need it on the way rather than lifting broken things into a more expensive place.

  4. 04

    Run

Monitor, patch, tune, and keep the cost curve flat. This is the part most projects skip and most clients need.

PLATFORM CHOICE

Which cloud should each workload run on?

Whichever one fits the workload. We don't have a horse in the race.

We're a Microsoft partner with Azure competencies and an AWS Premier Consulting Partner, which means we can genuinely argue either side. Most mid-market environments end up hybrid anyway: a Microsoft-centric core, some AWS where the engineering team lives, a private cloud footprint for the systems that need control public cloud can't offer, and a couple of things on-premises that aren't worth moving yet.

The decision usually comes down to four questions.

QuestionWhat it decides
How predictable is this workload's demand?Steady demand often costs less in private cloud. Spiky demand belongs in public cloud.
What data does it touch, and who audits it?Regulated or sovereignty-bound data narrows the options fast.
How much can it tolerate being down?Recovery time and recovery point targets drive architecture, not the other way around.
Who maintains it after go-live?A design your team can't operate is a design that fails in month four.
THE BILL

Why does the cloud bill keep growing?

Because cloud spend defaults to growth.

Instances get sized for launch day and never resized. Reservations expire without anyone noticing. Storage from a project that ended two years ago is still sitting there accruing charges, and nobody's sure whether it's safe to delete.

None of that is a failure of discipline. It's what happens when the people who could clean it up are busy keeping the business running.

We audit for it, tag what we find, and give you a list ranked by how much each item saves and how risky it is to touch. Then we set the guardrails so the same waste doesn't rebuild itself. Our AWS cost optimization assessment is the fastest version of this.

AFTER GO-LIVE

What happens after go-live?

Our technical operations center takes it from there, around the clock.

That means monitoring, patching, backups, and someone answering when something breaks at an inconvenient hour. It also means quarterly reviews where we tell you what changed, what it cost, and what we'd do differently. Environments drift. Somebody has to notice.

NETRIX PRIVATE CLOUD

What about the workloads that shouldn't go to public cloud?

Some won't, and that's a legitimate answer.

Netrix Private Cloud is a fully managed VMware-based platform running out of two data centers, one in Illinois and one in Pennsylvania, roughly 700 miles apart so a regional event can't take both. Cisco UCS compute, HPE Alletra storage, Tier 3 facilities with SOC 2 Type II attestation, connected by a private backbone. Each site runs independently.

It's the right home for steady-state workloads with predictable demand, systems with data residency requirements, and anything where you need to know exactly which rack your data is on. See private cloud for the detail.

DESIGN INPUT, NOT A PHASE

Security isn't a phase of the migration

It's a design input on day one.

Identity, segmentation, encryption, and monitoring get decided before workloads move, because retrofitting them afterward costs more and covers less.

Our cloud and cybersecurity teams work the same accounts, so the configuration decisions made during migration are the ones the security team has to live with, and they get a vote.

QUESTIONS WE GET FIRST

Before the assessment

How do you migrate to Azure or AWS without downtime?
What does a cloud assessment actually give us?
Are you tied to Microsoft or AWS?
Can you take over a migration another partner started?
What do cloud managed services cover?
How do you keep cloud costs from creeping back up?
READY WHEN YOU ARE
